 Pass Plus is a DSA training course specifically aimed at new drivers. Unfortunately, statistics show that newly qualified drivers are much more likely to have an accident in the first two years of passing their test than at any other time in their driving career. Although age doesn't matter, young drivers are especially vulnerable as they are involved in approximately 20% of accidents involving an injury; its basically down to a lack of driving experience.

What's Involved?
Backed by major insurance companies and the driving instruction industry, Pass Plus is designed to build upon your newly acquired skills and knowledge in areas that may not have been covered as part of the standard driving test syllabus. It will teach you how to anticipate, plan for and deal with all kinds of hazards, therefore increasing your confidence on the roads.

The course consists of 6 hours of practical training in modules which include:-

bullet All weather driving
bullet Driving out of town
bullet Night Driving
bullet Driving on dual carriageways
bullet Motorway driving

At the end of the training you will not have to take a test. During the course you will be continually assessed by your instructor and you must complete each course module to an achieved or exceeded standard in order to receive your Pass Plus certificate. This will entitle you to receive a substantial discount from motor insurers who support the scheme. Details of these insurers can be found on the Pass Plus website.

Pass Plus EXTRA
We are pleased to be registered on the panel of Staffordshire County Council's Approved Driving Instructors who are able to participate in this substantially subsidised scheme. Residents of Staffordshire who wish to qualify for the discount must attend an informative workshop run by the County's Road Safety Unit which are held regularly at local council offices. Attendance provides you with a voucher which entitles you to take a Pass Plus course currently for just £60.
